Passing Through a Year by Shi Jin-Hua actually walks into the crowds more. "Be friendly and understandable" is one of the curator and the artist's goals while they getting started with the exhibition. Everyday, there are more than ten people coming in to the exhibition space. Some of them spend a long time on each work digesting poems and feeling the beauty of art. If you know Shi Jin-Hua, you must be able to tell his difference this time. "He becomes much more irrational and sentimental."or you might say. The exhibition is in the name of 12 calender months and could be regarded as the expression of the artist's emotion and his life experience. " I don't want to restrain myself anymore! It is the time to give the serious conception and performance away that I've been engaged in for decades." Shi said.

像〈二月的心〉來自於某次他看見他母親隨手畫的圖案,那代表一顆因婚姻不幸而傷痕累累的心,而後放下釋懷得到療癒的故事,彷彿隨時會發生在身旁的情結深刻而感人。又如同〈九月的空山〉,石晉華用筆代替了自己的肉體,以筆端、信念一步步踏上心底掛念的那座西藏聖山。在創作上同時也更加的放鬆,以往走筆前的固定編號測量與拍照作業,在這次的展覽中則是被刻意刪除了,讓文件與詩文成了共同體,一筆一筆印寫在展牆上,讓每一幅以月份為名的走筆創作都反映了藝術家所謂的「太平常滑過的瞬間」,充滿了藝術與生命之前的抒情真實。
Take Heart of February as an example, the inspiration came from his mother's random drawing. It is a broken heart brought by an unhappy marriage. Behind that, it is a story about let-go and rebirth. The feeling is so profound and touching. Another work like Empty Mountain of September, Shi used pencil as a signifier of his mortal to mount the saint mountain in Tibet. In terms of creation process, he inclined to take easier way to conduct the pen walking. He used to strictly number, measure, and shoot photos before walking pen. Surprisingly, those complicated routines were abandoned this time. He intentionally blurred the boundary between document and poem, creating a form that features in our daily small moment. His art here becomes a live trace of living emotions and real lives.
